Love my Passat!

This is the only VW I've ever owned and I L.O.V.E it!! Bought it in 2019 with 83k and she's still doing well with just over 200k. 😊 Basic white sedan but fits me like a glove. I'm 5'4" at 120 and I've taken it across the US several times and can't complain. My husband who's 6' and 270 is also comfortable driving but not so much getting in and out, lol. I must add that we use Lucas product in the fuel and engine oil so I'm confident that that makes a difference. Doesn't burn or leak any fluids. Still gets over 30 MPG on non-windy road trips. She rarely has to deal with city traffic as she is a country sedan so all the fresh country air is probably good for her also. Cons are the cost to do standard repairs on wearable parts i.e. any suspension parts (although we were able to change the struts and springs ourselves). Changing bulbs is 95% super simple. Nothing really complicated with this car. I'm scared to have to take the risk to buy a newer vehicle as this one has been a peach.… - 4.0
2014 Passat
By Bodi | on 11/16/2025 8:30:11 PM
I bought this car in 2018 and had my timing chain replaced in 2021. Fortunately I had an extended warranty so didn’t have to pay anything else. Other than a tune up and ignition this is a very reliable very good car. I will probably keep it until the wheels fall off. But then again I’ll probably put new wheels on it then.…
