    • Great 20 yr old minivan

Had this car for nearly 200,000 mi nearly new since 2005. Worse problem was ignition coils went out at 50,000 and 100,000 mi and replace radiator at 150,000, regular maintenance spark plugs at 100k and 200k. CD player won't eject or load CDs and it got some scratches but otherwise still a very solid car with few problems. It's a bit smaller than Honda or Toyota and the 3rd row is very low to the floor but first two rows are pretty good and it hauls a twin bed with 2nd row removed and 3rd row folded into the floor, which you can't do with the CX-9 SUV that replaced it. Good for 20-25 MPG and drives like a V6 sedan, pretty good power and ride, and doesn't look like a 20 year old car.
    • Great suv

Overall it has been a very good suv and cheap to keep maintenances you would be pleased to own one reasonably well on gas as well as a good starter car for a kid being sent off to college
    • I wish they still made this car

I LOVE this Mazda MPV. It might have the body of a smallish mini-van, but it has the heart and soul of a Miata. Lots of pep, turns on a dime, parks just about anywhere. It holds 7 people, or three people and three bicycles (inside) or more people and 4 bikes on the bike rack (trailer hitch mounted). If you remove the middle seats, and fold down the back, you can put in two narrow cots and a full-sized mattress and go camping. Or, help your friend move across town in the rain. The sliding doors are on both sides of the car for easy access, there's plenty of headroom for the driver and passengers, and the driver's seat sits up high so you can see over all the little cars on the road. There's cup holders everywhere and no pesky screens up front to distract you. Gas mileage isn't terrible, the wipers work fine, and people seem to have enough leg room in the back. I want Mazda to make this again. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
